Darin Shapiro, Amber Wing and Ben Greenwood - Video Feature

Ben Greenwood and Amber Wing woke up real early on the 4th July to come session with Darin at Ride The Spot. The lake was going to be crazy with it being the holiday, so we made a 7:30am start to get the best water. Amber had a real smooth chilled set, it was only a few days after she became the first girl to land a heel 7 off the wake. Darin then took to the water and killed it with a bunch of tricks he hadn’t even tried in a while. He landed them without falling once, and still broke out his ‘Flatline Backside 180 - grabbed!’ By that time, some of the 4th party guys had already started up their jetski’s, and as always, thought it was a great idea to just our rollers. So Ben didn’t have much calm water at all, and still nailed some hammers - including his crazy wrapped back 540. All in all a good morning, expect more from these guys and Darin soon….

Darin shapiro is the best man wakeboard in da planet. he is so sickkyyyy. i wish i could shred the water and tear the waves up like this bossss. he makes the world go round. with just one raley…..

that was some sick riding. we saw Darin charge it in good ole Minnesoooota today at 10kwakes. Hes 35 in a 18 year old body!

He was awesome back in the “High Wake Drifters” video riding a directional board - love the slower more styled out moves to flats.

Sick video! I want to meet Ben Greenwood for two reasons: 1, he is one of my favorite riders i love his style. 2, to ask him why the hell he still wears those ultra sucks!!! LF must make them special for him haha he always has them.

Loved the video. For those of you who don’t know who shapiro is, I am sad for the future of the sport. He’s one of the godfathers of it all! At least go watch Byerly’s Retrospect for some history lessons.
He is our to wakeboarding what Chuck Norris is to everything else!
